Last Mile Access Technologies
- Telkom Diginet Leased line bandwidths are available from 64Kbps upward to 2Mbps;
- Telkom Etherlink (SDSL) – 64kbps to 1792kbps;
- Telkom MetroE (fibre) – 4Mbps to 600Mpbs;
- Neotel Neolink (fibre or microwave) – 2Mbps to STM1;
- eThekwini MetroConnect (fibre) – 1Mbps to STM1;
- MetroFibre (fibre) – 2Mps to STM1;
- Broadlink (microwave) – 512kbps to STM1; and
- VSat (satellite) – 128kbps to 1Mbps.
Broadband – ADSL Capped
- Shaped or unshaped bandwidth is available from 1GB upwards; and
- Static business DSL is utilised to include 5 static IP addresses (Public) and a Billion router.
Broadband – ADSL Uncapped
- Unlimited usage with 5 line speed options; and
- Includes 5 static IP addresses (Public) and a Billion router.
Broadband – 3G APN
Vox Orion supplies Vodacom and MTN 3G access. This service is configurable to create a virtual private network architecture that allows users to access their company’s LAN/WAN from outside the business premises, via the respective GSM network.
Broadband – iBurst
iBurst, a mobile wireless broadband medium, provides the customer with continued high-speed connectivity for corporate needs with secure access to e-mail, Internet and corporate applications with speeds of up to 1Mbps within the coverage areas.
Broadband – YahSat
Yahsat’s cost-effective broadband satellite service, YahClick, will rise above the limitations of existing terrestrial and satellite systems. Flexible broadband packages will be offered by the partners with hardware and services bundled to suit the needs of specific markets and user segments. YahClick will be launched 1 April 2012.
Fishbone LineBonder
Fishbone LineBonder combines multiple independent access lines, through proprietary line aggregation technologies, into a single high-capacity corporate access solution. Fishbone offers firewalling capabilities, VPN, content filtering and management reporting. Standard features include static IP addresses, centralised management and monitoring, multiple last mile access technology capability, automatic line failover/failback.
NeoBroadband
An uncapped service delivered over Neotel’s fibre network with burstable local and international internet traffic up to the line speed purchased (subject to network congestion). Options are available from 1Mbps to 15 Mbps.
Converged IP Services
Voice and data operating on the same last mile infrastructure provides for a number of benefits which include cost optimisation, unified technical support service and billing consolidation. Vox Orion customises solutions in order to meet individual customer requirements and also offers packaged converged products such as Zeppelin – a highly cost effective voice and data bundle.
VPN / MPLS Solutions
Vox Orion’s managed VPN solutions are designed to provide secure, reliable transport of critical applications across a unified platform. This high-speed backbone infrastructure is based on industry-leading switching products and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), offering industry standard functionality.
Cloud Computing
Vox Orion offers multiple hosting solutions on Microsoft and Linux platforms. The hosted servers are located in Vox Telecom’s data centres regionally which enjoy access to unlimited bandwidth.
Four main service options are available, which include:
- Physical Server Hosting;
- Virtual Server Hosting;
- Hosted Exchange Solution; and
- Hosted Back Up Solution.
Data and Network Security
All network security customer requirements are catered for by the below-mentioned Vox Orion product set:
- Managed Firewalls – Juniper series including Proxy licenses;
- Anti-Spam / Virus – Ironport; and
- SSL remote access – Periscope.
PathView Network Monitoring
PathView Network Management services allow our customers to measure real time performance characteristics such as jitter, latency and bandwidth to and from any IP-addressable target.
All PathView models include PathView Appliances and provide unprecedented network insight, offering an easy way to continuously monitor, test and troubleshoot remote site network performance. This service helps our customers get an in-depth look at their current network health, allowing reporting features to enable customers to understand both active LAN and WAN performance, containing in-depth analysis to assist customers in pin pointing current issues or proactively preventing future issues such as bandwidth utilization or capacity issues if a new application needs to be added to the network.
